ROUNDTABLE: Lens on Us
Traditional owners of the land on which we meet were acknowledged by UTS Life Scientist Dr Sean Walsh.
Roundtable Introductions and Discussions were led by Dr Megan Williamswho introduced herself as a Wiradjuri descendent who also has Anglo-Celtic heritage, and whose role at UTS isSenior Lecturer and Head of the Indigenous Health Discipline at the Graduate School of Health. Megan invited us all, including the sound recordists and photojournalist, to say who we are, where we're from, and our relationship to Aboriginal Australia.
Stimulus for discussion was a videoof scientist Andrew Davidson explaining connectivity in the Antarctic ecosystem, a story that Megan recognised as reflecting the different ways we may participate in shaping the world.
Sebastian's photos show something of how people were welcomed, introduced and engaged.
The Podcast was made with people who were willing to speak.

A key message here is that every time we tell our story it will change
as we learn more about our selves, our community and our country.
