SPIRIT OF THE DANCE

A Living Data Arena is convened for conversations through the languages of art and science, to explore key messages to present at the conference Antarctic Connections at the End of the World: Understanding the past and shaping the future.

25th January 2019

Here's the latest iteration of 'Oceanic Living Data' where stories evolve as new and ancient knowledges are combined, presented and responded to. Here an interactive puppet is an avatar for people to immerse themselves in the spirit of the mating dance of Antarctic krill first described by (Kawaguchi et al. 2010) through art and science.

This iteration reflects conversations through art and science, with Dugald McLaren, Cat Kutay, Mike Lynch, Bonita Ely, Sandy Edwards, Maddie Gibbs, Jason Benedek, Sean Walsh, Rene Delmas, and students of Engineering at the University of Technology Sydney.
